The Research, Evaluation and Assessment department (REA) supports the District's students, schools and central office departments as well as internal and external partners through a wide variety of student academic data analysis and reporting. REA's areas of responsibility include:

In accordance with district policy, the Seattle Public Schools has implemented a rigorous research review process for all individuals and organizations interested in conducting research with Seattle Public School staff (including administrators, school leaders, and teachers) and students.
